Jaynelle EDWARDSON – Over 80

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On June 28, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service responded to a report of single motor vehicle collision.

Upon their arrival, police concluded that a motor vehicle travelling on Elijah Road had left the roadway and entered the ditch. Officers determined that the 37-year-old female driver of a red Toyota sedan had consumed alcohol.

The driver was transported to a medical facility as a precaution and when discharged, she was transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests. The breath tests confirmed the driver’s blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit. The driver was uninjured in the collision.

As a result of the police investigation, Jaynelle EDWARDSON, of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, Ontario has been charged with Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol) and Care or Control Over 80 mgs., pursuant to the Canadian Criminal Code (CCC).

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 8th, 2017.
