(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On June 27, 2017, at approximately 9:15 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by members of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service responded to a report of an armed robbery on Southdel Drive, immediately west of Bodkin Road.
The investigation, thus far, has revealed that the employee of a local commercial retail business was travelling in a motor vehicle to deposit the money from the day’s profits. The employee was intercepted by what has been described as a black, pick-up truck, possibly a Ford with a silver line or lettering on the side. The deposit money was stolen.
The suspect vehicle intentionally collided with the victim’s vehicle and three (3) males exited the truck, one suspect brandished a weapon. The victim was not injured during the event.
