(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Almonte resident with impaired driving.
Lanark officers conducted a traffic stop on Rosamond Street in Carleton Place shortly before 10:00 p.m. An approved alcohol screening device was utilized, and the driver was then arrested and transported to the detachment in Carleton Place for additional testing.
As a result of the investigation, Steven MCNEELY, age 56, has been charged with:
- operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving while under suspension
- Drive with cannabis readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on June 10, 2024.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
