Robbery

A senior male victim was driving through the intersection of Bayfield Street at Ross Street when three pedestrians were crossing the street. The victim had to brake to avoid striking them and he rolled down his window to ensure the pedestrians were okay. One of the pedestrians suggested they would be better if they had some spare change. The victim took out his wallet to give them $5. One of the three pedestrians, the 47 year old Barrie man, reached into the vehicle, grabbed the victim’s arm causing a laceration and robbed him of his wallet. The accused then fled. Police attended and investigated.

The accused associate later returned with the wallet. The wallet was now missing $40. Police located the accused nearby and he was arrested for Robbery and held for bail. The victim required minor medical attention.
