(AMHERSTVIEW, ON) – The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit and Kingston Police Service conducted a joint drug investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in the area.
As a result, search warrants were executed in Loyalist Township and the City of Kingston.
The investigation led to the seizure of 32 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, $32,505 in Canadian currency and a 2014 Honda CRV. The potential street value of the drug seizure is estimated at $90,000.
Charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking methamphetamine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime is 41 year-old Joseph MURPHY of Amherstview.
MURPHY was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee this afternoon.
