Impaired Pigeon Lake Boater Arrested

(TRENT LAKES, ON) – Marine unit members of the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol of Pigeon Lake when a small fishing vessel was observed on July 26th, 2016 at just after 7:00pm.

After an investigation, the operator of the vessel, 40 year old Jeremy SMITH of North Perth, ON was found to have been drinking alcohol and was arrested and charged with Operating a Vessel with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on August 25th, 2016.
