(ORO-MEDONTE TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On July 23, 2016 at approximately 10:15 a.m., members of the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report that a female had been sexually assaulted at the west campground of the Way Home Concert Event at the Burles Creek.
An extensive OPP investigation with the assistance of the Barrie OPP Crime Unit revealed that a 19 year old female from Ottawa had been assaulted during the early morning hours of July 23, 2016.
Charged with Sexual Assault under the Criminal Code of Canada is Jake A OMAY, 20 years old from Oakville, ON. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on September 19, 2016 to answer to his charges.
