Stanley V. MARKS – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 6:05 am, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of The Gore Road and King Street. The officer was stopped at a traffic light on The Gore Road when he observed the driver of a Lincoln travelling southbound on The Gore Road signalling an eastbound turn onto King Street. The officer noticed that the driver was not wearing his seat belt. Subsequently, the officer turned his cruiser around to stop the motor vehicle on the seat belt infraction. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected a strong odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath.

As a result of the investigation, Stanley V. MARKS, 63, of Orangeville was arrested and charged with Over 80. The driver is further facing charges under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario and the Liquor Licence Act.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused will be making his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on August 29, 2013.
