(CENTRE WELLINTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 16, 2016 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7 near South Street, Centre Wellington Township. An Officer observed a woman driving a 2010 Dodge in a 50 km/h zone in excess of 50 km/h above the posted speed limit.
42-year-old Rachel MASON of Saugeen First Nation has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 2, 2016. Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
