(WEST PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate numerous collisions along Highway 23 south of the Town of Mitchell.
Highway 23 closure has now been extended from Elginfield Road (Highway 7) to Frank Street in the Town of Mitchell.
The OPP is advising of severe weather conditions that are making driving conditions treacherous and is strongly recommending motorists consider postponing non-essential travel until the storm passes.

HIGHWAY 23 CLOSED, MULTIPLE COLLISIONS
(WEST PERTH, ON) –Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising motorists of a current road closure on Highway 23 (Road 164) between Line 28 and Frank Street in the Municipality of West Perth (Town of Mitchell). This is due to poor visibility and multiple collisions in this area.
The strong winds and blowing snow is creating pockets of zero visibility and very hazardous driving conditions. The Perth County OPP is strongly recommending motorists consider postponing non-essential travel until the storm passes.
