Homeowner Confronts Criminal Inside Residence – CHAMBERS Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident after being contacted by a concerned homeowner at an Everett Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at approximately 6:23 p.m., police were contacted by a homeowner after an unknown male entered their home.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a male entered the residence where he was immediately confronted by the homeowners. He was subsequently removed by the owners at which time police were contacted.

Officers arrived at the address where they located a male and took him into custody without incident.

As a result, police have charged 28-year-old Tyler Kevin CHAMBERS with enter premises when entry prohibited, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act and being intoxicated in a public place, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

He was subsequently issued Provincial Offence Notices.

Police are reminding all home owners to ensure that all doors and windows are secured in order to prevent anyone from gaining access to their residence.
