Buzzed Driver Caught

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA ON.) – An officer of the Bruce Peninsula OPP stopped a 21-year-old Georgian Bluffs man for a traffic related offence. While speaking with the man the officer could smell the odour of alcohol on his breath. A road side test was given and the result was a fail. This means that the reading was higher than the pre determined number required for a fail to register. The man was arrested and provided breath tests into an Intoxilyzer 8000C. The results were in the warn range and he was released unconditionally, his drivers license was suspended for three days and returned to the MTO.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP would remind anyone that sees an impaired driver, or boater to call 911 to report this activity.

The OPP reminds everyone that water safety is paramount to water fun. Make sure all your equipment is on board not on the dock.
