On October 25th, 2016 at approximately 1:00 a.m. three suspects broke into a residence on Westwood Drive in the City of Kitchener. Several victims were inside the residence at the time sleeping. One of the males brandished a firearm and demanded money and jewelry from the residents prior to fleeing in a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was located by the Ontario Provincial Police in the area of Highway #5 and Sydenham Road in the Town of Dundas. Two males were arrested on scene however a third male fled into a nearby field. As a result of the investigation, a 24 year old Brampton man and a 25 year old Toronto man are facing several charges including Robbery with a Firearm, Break Enter and Commit and Weapons Dangerous. There were no injuries as a result of this investigation. Police believe this was a targeted incident and there is no concern for public safety.
