37 Year Old Arrested For Refusing To Blow

(COUNTY of BRANT, ON) – Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while conducting RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on 4 December 2016 on Cockshutt Road in The County of Brant.

At approximately 2:30am police stopped a red 2013 Hyundai Elantra after it entered a RIDE check.

Police determined through investigation that the driver had been drinking alcohol and the male driver was arrested.

OPP investigators have charged 37-year-old Yuriko ESTEVEZ-JIMENEZ of Norfolk County with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Refusing to provide a breath sample contrary to Section 254(5)

Driving While Ability Impaired, contrary to Section 253(1)(a)

She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
