Leanne CURRIE Charged With Impaired After Hitting Two Transport Trucks

(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – On Saturday, December 12, 2020, at approximately 2:07 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford County Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision at a Highway 401, Blandford-Blenheim Township address.

It has been determined that a motor vehicle was travelling eastbound along Highway 401 near County Road 22 when the driver lost control and struck two transport trucks with the vehicle coming to rest in middle of the highway. The driver was transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries. The operators of the transport trucks did not suffer any injuries.

As a result, police charged 39-year-old Leanne CURRIE of Kitchener, Ontario with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Woodstock at a later date.
