In North Huron the Public/Press were allowed one hour to question/speak to council in 2016. This Public “Town Hall style” meeting was in Blyth on 13Sept. Council/staff initiated a “blackout” and made it “illegal” for any digital recording of the meeting to exist.
Council/staff refused to record the Public meeting, or to stream it live via YouTube. Current clerk kathy adams even claimed it was illegal for them to create a transcript of the Public meeting, which is obviously unsubstantiated by reality.
The Public/Press would be asked to leave and/or arrested if they dared to record the meeting or set up a camera.
Obviously Council/Staff were terrified of something being exposed at this Public meeting.
WFP will be releasing transcript clips of the meeting in the coming weeks, thanks to an anonymous Wingham Copwatch member that supplied a recording of the meeting.
Upon initial review of the meeting, it seems it was a very rough night for current Reeve neil vincent. Vincent did not know simple facts that he should know after 10 years on the job, leading to many questioning his current mental state.
