Wanted Man Arrested In Chatsworth Facing More Charges

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Sunday, October 31, 2015, at approximately 9:49 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a Buick Rainier vehicle on Hwy. 6 & 10 in the Township of Chatsworth after the vehicle was observed weaving within its lane.

Investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle was wanted by West Grey Police Service and the Sudbury Police Service on outstanding warrants. The passenger, who had falsely identified himself to police in order to evade arrest, was arrested without incident.

32-year old Wayne Wendle MCINNIS, of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, faces the following charges: Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice; possession of crystal methamphetamine; possession of marihuana – under 30 grams; and possession of cannabis resin – over 1 gram.

He remains in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for November 4, 2015.
