Victim Shot Through Door Refusing To Cooperate With Police

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a shooting in the 0-100 block of Chesterton Drive.

On December 12, 2016, at approximately 2:30am, the Ottawa Police received several calls about shots fired in the Chesterton Drive area. Patrol officers responded to the area and found evidence that shots had been fired through a door.

A bullet grazed one occupant of the unit, who received minor injuries. The victim refused medical treatment. The victim is not cooperating with the police investigation.

Witnesses have reported that a vehicle was seen leaving the area at the time.
