On September 10, 2009 at approximately 11:30 am, a 2009 GMC pickup was reported stolen from Huron East. Huron OPP officers went to the location and were advised by the owner that the truck was equipped with the ONSTAR feature. Utilizing the London OPP Communications Centre in conjunction with ONSTAR, officers were directed to the location of the truck. As soon as officers arrived however, the driver fled.
