The owner of Rob’s Gym has been trying to get access to public records from his Town Hall. Confronted with apparent stonewalling, he has asked that we publish his email to Bernie Maclellan, Mayor of Huron East, in the hopes the public will demand the release of these documents. It is my understanding that the minutes to the Seaforth Arena Board meetings are made available to the public upon request. I would like to request a copy of the following three meetings minutes.
The Seaforth Arena Board meeting of July 14/2011. This meeting included an in camera session of which you yourself incorporated and are aware of. This meeting was Chaired by Councilor Flowers.
The Seaforth Arena Board meeting of on or about September 9/2010. This meeting was held at the Town Hall and was attended by a number of concerned Rob’s Gym members. This meeting was Chaired by Councilor Flowers
The Seaforth Arena Board/Seaforth Arena Building Committee meeting on or about September 21/2009. This meeting was Chaired by Councilor Flowers.
To date, it is my experience Huron East, in general, does not acknowledge or respond to letters or emails. I am sure this is intentional and selective. As an example, you were and are alleging Rob’s Gym is in the arrears for a substantial amount of money. This is accepted as verbatim within the community. Yet, as owner of Rob’s Gym I have continually asked you for an accounting of the alleged arrears and you refuse.
I do hope that you will behave in a professional, ethical, and a responsible manner, as the Mayor’s position demands, by acknowledging receipt of this email and providing me with the public documents I have requested.
