Most of you have noticed that the Public Works department is on what appears to be a strike. Public Works head Sean “DF” McGhee clearly has failed to do the job his is paid to do and should resign. Not only is a resignation in order, but an apology for disregarding pedestrian safety and returning all the money he took for the job he failed to do.
It is obvious to everyone now that the Public Works head does not inspect or properly maintain the infrastructure his is responsible for maintaining. Attached is one more picture of the neglect by Sean DF McGhee. This damage was caused by town staff several years ago and they still refuse to fix the damage they caused. As you can see the jagged metal is at perfect leg gouging height for pedestrians.
Storm drains are still covered/blocked, roadkill still on streets, garbage cans not even out let alone emptied, trash accumulating on boulevards, expanding pot holes, filthy sidewalks on Josephine and cenotaph that needs pressure washing, gravel roads that are neglected, defects from the big dig still not noticed or fixed, obstructed street signs, community safety zone signs at head gashing height, lawns torn up by sidewalk guy, etc. etc. etc.
Maybe Sean DF McGhee is just too lazy, apathetic or incompetent to do his daily/weekly inspection rounds. Who cares if he forces pedestrians to walk in traffic in the winter, won’t fix crosswalk signs and lets our infrastructure rot, what’s the worst that could happen? Remember they joke about students making good speed bumps.
