Overdoses In Cambridge Results In Arrests

On October 19, 2016 the Waterloo Regional Police Service received information that two overdoses had taken place in Cambridge one hour apart from each other. It’s believed the overdoses were possibly caused by fentanyl-laced heroin, which had been purchased from 29 Crombie Street in Cambridge.

In the interest of public safety, police acted swiftly to enter the residence under the exigent circumstances” section of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and arrested four people
