Message from Huron County Emergency Services

(Huron County) Huron County Emergency Services; including Huron OPP, Huron County Ambulance and all Huron County Fire Departments are making a request to have all Huron County residents check their 911 signs to ensure that they are clear and visible from the roadway.

The 911 signs are the blue and white signs located outside the front of your residences. These are registered as your municipality address. Emergency workers use the 911 signs to locate a dispatched address quickly and efficiently. Time is wasted when we cannot see the signs, which are sometimes covered by brush, knocked down, damaged and not replaced, or even moved by the homeowner.

If your 911 sign has been damaged or stolen, please contact your local Municipality or Township office to have it replaced.

If your sign has been moved from its’ original location, for any reason, please have it re-located back.

Time can be the difference between life and death; please help Huron County Emergency workers get to you quickly, and efficiently.
