Drunken Adam Shetler Crosses Median and Collides with a Harley Davidson

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – The South Bruce OPP responded to a collision during the early morning hours of September 7th, 2009 on Highway #9, north of Mildmay, Ontario.

Investigation revealed that Chevrolet pickup truck being driven by 23 year old Adam SHETLER of Bruce Township was traveling northbound when it crossed the centre median striking a Harley Davidson motorcycle being driven southbound by 55 year old Cedric Gibbings of Palmerston.

As a result of the collision, Gibbings was airlifted to London Health Sciences with serious injuries.

SHELTER was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm, , Operation of A Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams Causing Bodily Harm and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm. Shelter will appear in Provincial Court on the 2nd of November to answer to the charges.

The South Bruce OPP reminds all motorists that driving while under the influence of Drugs and/or Alcohol is illegal and is completely irresponsible. Police have zero tolerance for motorists who choose to mix drugs or alcohol while driving a motor vehicle. LP09228950
