Drinking And Mischief At The Quarry

(ST.MARYS, ON) – On early Saturday morning on November 21, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the St.Marys quarry along Thomas St. in St.Marys, where damage to equipment was discovered.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday November 20th and 6 a.m. on Saturday November 21st, individuals entered the quarry on foot. They proceeded to the area where a John Deere Skid Steer was parked and smashed its front window by throwing a heavy object at it. A number of alcoholic bottles were also located near the equipment.

The culprits most likely entered through a rear gate where a vehicle may have been parked.

The Perth County OPP would like to talk to anyone who may have observed suspicious vehicles parked near the quarry gates along Thomas Street or the Thomas Street extension.
