$5,000 In Golfing Equipment Stolen From Listowel

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a residence on Baker St. North in Listowel on Thursday November 19, 2015, after the homeowner discovered the theft of golf clubs from his garage.

Investigation revealed that sometime between Tuesday morning November 17th and Thursday afternoon November 19th, 2015, an unknown person(s) gained entry into the detached garage by means of the unlocked man-door. Inside the garage several pieces of high end golf equipment were removed.

Stolen equipment:

– CALLAWAY model Razor Hawk clubs (wood)

– MIZUNO model MP69 Iron

– TITLEIST model 913 (wood)

– TITLEIST model AP2 (Iron)

– 6 VOKEY Wedges

– TITLEIST tour bag

The total value of the stolen equipment is in excess of $5,000

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about this theft or any other crime to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000

Homeowners are urged to lock their doors and windows, even if going out for a short time. Do not leave your overhead garage door open when not outside, as this will allow easy and quick entry for criminals. Open garage doors will display the valuable contents of your garage. Deter potential criminals by ensuring that the exterior of your home and garage are well lit, consider installing motion sensor lights.
