(Ashfield Colborne Wawanosh, ON) On September 20, 2009 shortly after 2:00 am, Huron OPP officers were set up for a R.I.D.E program on Bluewater Highway at Saltford Road. A vehicle entered the checkpoint. The female driver was questioned about how much alcohol she had consumed and as a result, officers made a demand for her to provide a roadside sample of her breath. The female complied but failed the test. The driver was arrested for Drive Over 80 Milligrams and was transported to the Huron Detachment where she met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two more samples of her breath. Both tests confirmed that the woman was driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
Denise Mitchelmore (48) of Dungannon has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. She will answer to her charge on December 7, 2009.
