On 11 August 2009 a citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of the Wingham Bible Chapel on Boland St in Wingham. Police attended to investigate and observed three males coming out of the adjacent corn field. A check of the area revealed a small quantity of Marijuana plants. The Saugeen Shores Police Service K-9 unit was called in to assist in the investigation. Two separate small crops of Marijuana plants were located. A 19 year old Wroxeter man and 17 year old Wingham youth have been charged with Cultivation of a Controlled Substance. The estimated street value of the plants would be $6,000.00.
