Council Complains Public Misinformed After Banning Media Questions – You Get What You Vote For

At the 18April2016 council meeting North Huron councillor bill ss knott whined about traditional media coverage, and how their inaccuracies apparently make him look bad. The funny thing is, you don’t need to be inaccurate to make him look bad.

Either the Blyth newspaper or the radio station was the victim of bill knott’s attack. Since the WFP stopped covering town hall for a few months, those on council that crave attention or the power rush of bullying, have apparently turned their attention to traditional media to get their fix.

WFP fought for years to get town hall to start issuing regular press releases, with very little success. They could easily issue a PR about upcoming issues, but they choose not to. They could issue a PR about any issue they feel needs clarifying, but they choose not to. They could issue a PR with a summary of the council meetings, etc. etc. Council did agree to do this under the reign of gary long, but it never came to fruition. WFP even allowed town hall to directly add items to our site, unedited. That would have absolutely guarantee they got their side of the story out, but long refused.

They choose to be silent, refuse to allow media questions for clarification at council meetings, then complain the Public is misinformed. Hey, you get what you vote for.
