Incident #: WA16227528

Incident Date: Oct 14, 2016

Location: TODD ST, CAMBRIDGE, ON Canada

In September of 2016, the Cambridge CORE Team began a street level drug investigation that involved a residence on Todd Street in Cambridge. On October 14, 2016, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a man as he left the residence and found him to be in possession of 0.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The bicycle he was riding was found to be stolen.

The man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000. As a result of the investigation, police issued a search warrant and found 19.84 grams of suspected cocaine, 0.17 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 2 large marihuana plants.

Police also found a large commercial generator that had been stolen in September from the Murdoch Mystery movie set in Cambridge. The generator was found outside the residence and is valued at $4,500. The generator was being used to power the residence, since there was no electricity. Police also seized seven bicycles and a variety of other property and tools suspected to be stolen. The investigation is continuing and more charges are expected to be laid.
