Brantford Crime Briefs – 02May2017

Type: Mischief – Graffiti

Incident: 17- 1534

Location: Blackfriar Lane

Incident: Sometime over the weekend unknown person(s) damaged a school portable classroom. Pink paint was sprayed on the portable.

Type: Break and Enter – Residential

Incident: 17- 15624

Location: Pearl Street

Incident: On May 2, 2017 shortly before 1:30 a.m. an unknown man entered a home on Pearl Street. The home is a multiple rental room residence. One of the occupants was alerted to the break in after hearing a door being forced open. It is believed that the suspects were then scared off. No items were reported stolen.

Type: Theft from Motor Vehicle

Incident: 17- 158

Location: Craig Street

Incident: On the morning of May 1, 2017 it was discovered that a vehicle had been entered overnight on Craig Street. Reported stolen from the vehicle is a driver’s licence, a cordless drill and an air pump.

Incident: 17- 159

Location: Blossie Street

Incident: On the morning of May 1, 2017 it was discovered that a vehicle had been entered overnight on Blossie Street. Reported stolen from the vehicle was a tool bag containing a cordless drill, and various tools, a tackle box, 2 fishing poles and rods, 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses, CD’s and a GPS.

Citizens are encouraged to take a second to look inside their vehicles for items (wallets,

electronics, change, GPS, garage door openers, ect) that may make them an attractive target for thieves. If it is valuable to you, don’t leave an item in a place where it can be easily stolen.
