Armed Robbery at BMO in Goderich

(Goderich, ON) At 1:30 pm this date (July 21, 2009) a lone male entered the Bank of Montreal branch located on the Square in Goderich. With a threat of violence, the male robbed the teller of an undisclosed sum of money and fled the bank. Huron OPP investigators arrived on scene and some quick investigative work led officers to a taxi in Sebringville. A 38 year old man of no fixed address was arrested in a high risk take down.

No one was injured during the robbery or during the arrest. The suspect was found to be in possession of a large sum of money.

The man is being held in police custody in Huron County pending a bail hearing in Goderich Court on July 22, 2009 at 10:00 am.
