Kristen LOWE – Threats

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment have charged a 28-year-old female after police investigated an incident at a Cockshutt Road, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Saturday, January 2, 2016 at approximately 2:06 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident reporting a threat.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that two females engaged in a conversation and as a result police were contacted.

As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 28-year-old Kristen LOWE of Brantford, Ontario with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

She is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.

Darryl LAZOWSKI – Drunk Driving

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 56-year-old male after police stopped a vehicle at a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, January 2, 2016, at approximately 3:40 a.m., police were conducting patrols in the area of Island Road when a vehicle attracted an officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated at a Queensway West address.

As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 56-year-old Darryl LAZOWSKI of Norfolk County, Ontario with driving over the legal limit.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.

“There will be zero tolerance for motorists driving aggressively, impaired by drugs or alcohol, distracted drivers or those who fail to buckle up. Driving safety is everyone’s responsibility and it starts before the vehicle is put into drive” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.

Pickup Truck Found In Pond

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment responded to an incident located at a Carson Side Road, Middleton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, January, 1, 2015 at approximately 12:08 p.m., police received a call from a concerned property owner after they located a pick-up truck submerged in an irrigation pond located on the property.

The pick-up truck was subsequently removed from the pond and through the course of investigation it was determined that the vehicle, a 2004 Dodge pick-up truck had been reported stolen by a Tillsonsburg resident.

Bonnie COUNCILLOR – Drunk Driving

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On January 1, 2016 at approximately 2:40 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop near Portage Avenue South and First Street East in the Town of Fort Frances, ON.

After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking. The driver, Bonnie COUNCILLOR, age 31 of Naicatchewenin First Nation failed the roadside test, and was subsequently arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded and impounded for seven days. The driver was transported to Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.

She will appear in Fort Frances Court on February 1, 2016 to answer to the charge.

Do You Recognize This Hat?

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is currently investigating a fire that took place on November 25th, 2015 at approximately 2:00am at 72 Wolfe Street, Frankford.

The fire that is being treated as suspicious caused approximately $300,000 damage and was contained to the interior of the R&E Tire building.

Police located a baseball style hat near the scene and are asking the public’s in locating the owner of the hat. (PHOTO ATTACHED)

Lighthouse Stolen

(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds and Thousand Islands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into the theft of a lighthouse.

On the 2nd of January 2016 Ontario Provincial Police officers were notified of a theft that occurred on County Road 96, Frontenac Islands. The complainant reported that sometime overnight thieves removed a 6 foot tall lighthouse which acts as a well cover. It was described further as being red and white in colour.

23 Year Old Drunk Driver Charged

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On January 3rd, 2016, at approximately 1205am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol when they received information regarding a possible impaired driver.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later and after an investigation the officers determined that the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Chantal JOUAN, 23, of Quinte West has been charged with:

Driving While ability Impaired by Alcohol, Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

The female was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on January 14th, 2016.

Three Charged In Brutal Huntsville Beatings

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On January 3, 2016, just after 3:30am Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of an assault that had taken place at a residence on Princess St. in the town of Huntsville, ON.

Two people sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital by Muskoka EMS. One has since been released and the other still remains with non-life threatening injuries.

The responding officers located and arrested four males in the area of the residence.

As a result of the initial investigation Jesse HICKEY (21yrs) Bruce INWOOD (20yrs) and Cameron SIMPSON (20yrs) all of Huntsville have since been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon. All three are being held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on January 4, 2016 to answer to their charges.

The investigation is continuing by the Muskoka Crime Unit with the assistance of Central Region Forensic Unit.

The Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Princess St later last evening. Anyone with any information can contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Dylan BINGUIS – Break And Enter, Breach, Theft, Etc

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on December 25, 2015 conducted a traffic stop on a Snowmobile travelling at a high rate of speed near 7th avenue. On further investigation police determined the Snowmobile had been recently stolen from another address in Sioux Lookout.

The operator of the Snowmobile was identified as a Dylan BINGUIS, a 23 year old male from Sioux Lookout. He has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:

1 x of Break and Enter

1 x of Theft of Motor Vehicle

1 x of Breach of Probation

1 x of Possession of Stolen Property obtained by crime

2 x of Mischief under $5,000

He has also been charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with the following offences:

1 x Fail to Wear Helmet

1 x Operate Motorized Snow Vehicle while suspended

Dylan BINGUIS was held for bail and is still in custody. His next scheduled court date is January 5, 2016 in Sioux Lookout.

Repeat Offender James WARNER Wanted By Police

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) On December 22, 2015 Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at a local hotel. Police located a stolen red 2007 Peterbuilt Transport truck from Brantford, ON with an altered VIN number. The suspect fled the area but was identified as part of the police investigation.

Sioux Lookout OPP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating James WARNER. A warrant has been issued for his arrest to answer to the charge Possession of Stolen Property as well as 3 counts of Failing to Comply with his Probation Order.

James WARNER is described as a 39 year old male, 5’11” (180 cm) 240 lbs (110 kg), with blue eyes, brown hair and possibly a goatee. He is originally from Guelph, ON and may have ties to other southern Ontario locations.
