(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On October 24, 2016 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2008 GMC Sierra pick-up truck travelling southbound on Hwy. 10, north of Grey Rd. 9, in the Township of Southgate after it registered a speed greater than 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h speed limit on the cruiser’s radar.
The driver of the truck, 17-year old Gerrit John PASTINK, of the Township of Southgate, was issued a Part III Summons for Stunt Driving under the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on November 21, 2016.
His licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
