(Central Elgin) On Saturday January 23rd, 2021 at approximately 7:56am Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Barnums Gully Line, Central Elgin near the end of the dead end road. Reports indicated the vehicle had flipped onto its side.
As a result of the investigation police arrested and charged the driver of the motor vehicle, Bryor Michael KIFF, age 27, of St. Thomas, ON with;
- Failing to Comply with an Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code
- Operating a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited contrary to the Criminal Code. (two counts)
- Failing to Comply with a Release Order contrary to the Criminal Code
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code
- Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act
- Driving while Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
- Failing to Remain at the Scene of a Collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
- Failing to Report a Collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
- Use Plates Not Authorized for Vehicle Under the Highway Traffic Act.
- Fail to have Insurance Card under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
- Possess Unmarked Cigarettes Under the Tobacco Tax Act.
KIFF is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
