(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Thursday, November 19, 2015 at approximately 11:45 a.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management and RIDE Unit, Highway Safety Division, conducting radar enforcement, stopped a 2008 Mini Cooper vehicle for speeding on Grey Rd. 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Once stopped, the officer detected a strong odor of marihuana emanating from inside the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, 43-year old Ahren MACPHERSON of Collingwood, Ontario, was charged with speeding under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and possession of marihuana – over 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
He is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on December 17, 2015.
