(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) – On Wednesday December 5, 2012 at approximately 9:37 pm members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) R.I.D.E. team were conducting checks on County Road 34 near Townline Road in Puslinch Twp. At this time and location, officers investigated the driver of a 2006 GMC Sierra pick-up truck that came upon the checkpoint. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Roy Neilson aged 43 of Fergus has been charged with Over 80mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 11, 2013 to answer to the charge.
