David Hodges – Drunk Driving, Suspended Licence, Nearly Rolls His Vehicle Into Cruiser

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday January 07, 2012, around 12:30 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer pulled over a Chevrolet Cavalier on Wellington St. north in Listowel which had failed to signal for a turn. As the officer spoke to the driver, the Cavalier proceeded to roll backwards almost striking the police cruiser. The male driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested. He was taken to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

David Hodges (35) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicle” and with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. He was also found to be a suspended driver for which he was summonsed to court. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on February 29, 2012 to answer to these charges. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
