Another Pedestrian Struck And Sent To Hospital

On January 9, 2018 at approximately 12:17am, Guelph police were called to the area of Chancellors Way and Edinburgh Road, where there was a report of a collision. A Chevy, driven by a 28 year old male, struck a pedestrian near the intersection. The 21 year old pedestrian appeared to have sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. The pedestrian was transported to the Guelph General Hospital by ambulance.

This incident is an active investigation and charges are pending. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact Cst M. Male Arrested for Theft

On January 5, 2018 Guelph police were called to a Waterloo Avenue address to investigate a theft. It is alleged that a male approached a parked commercial motor vehicle and stole an item. From investigation, the male was identified.

On January 8, 2018 at 9:22am the male was located and arrested. Anthony Douglas, a 42 year old Guelph male, was charged with theft under $5000. He was given a February 20, 2018 court date.
