(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On Wednesday December 5, 2012 at approximately 4:45 pm County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers investigated the driver of a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck that was travelling at a high rate of speed on Wellington Road 123 just west of Teviotdale in the Township of Wellington North. Police spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Alex Yates aged 29 of Mapleton Twp has been charged with Over 80mgs contrary to the Criminal Code and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act . He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Bail court on December 6, 2012 to answer to the charges.
