Pedestrian Killed In Collision

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On December 7, 2012 at 5:15 p.m. Huron County OPP officers and Huron County Paramedics responded to a pedestrian collision at the intersection of Main Street North and George Street in Exeter.

A lone male pedestrian travelling west across Main Street North was struck in the southbound lane by a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck travelling south.

The pedestrian was transported to South Huron Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Thomas BURGESS, age 57, from South Huron. A post-mortem examination will be completed.

Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

The roadway is now open.
