(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – An 80-year old male is in stable condition in a London hospital following a mishap with a tractor that occurred on the 7th Sideroad in the Municipality of Meaford.
On November 29, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) together with Grey County Emergency Services and the Meaford Fire Department responded to a report of a male pinned by a tractor on the 7th Sideroad.
Investigation revealed that the victim had dismounted from the tractor at the end of his laneway. The brake was not engaged and, as a result the tractor, a Massey Ferguson, Model 35, rolled forward; striking the victim who fell beneath the rear tire.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and then transferred to a hospital in London where he is reported to be in stable condition
