(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, November 28, 2015 at approximately 9:13 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a 2009 GMC pick-up truck in a ditch on Road 49, south of Grey Rd. 4, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The driver of the pick-up, who was found to have been drinking alcohol, was given a road side breath test which he failed. He was arrested and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests which resulted in a fail.
19-year old Sheldon Phillip DOBNEY of Stouffville, Ontario was charged with the criminal offence of impaired care and control of a motor vehicle – over 80 milligrams. He was also charged with failing to report an accident, possessing more than one driver’s licence and careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
DOBNEY is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on December 17, 2015.
