It was clear at the one hour meeting in Blyth that council is blaming our current horrific state on “bad hires” that don’t do their jobs or provide useful information to council. In a recent conversation with current North Huron Reeve Neil Vincent he claimed these bad hires are sometimes due to the fact no one else applied for the job. The other half of the problem is council’s unwillingness to uphold 224 of the Municipal Act.
Neil Vincent also claimed that town staff were too busy to figure out what we are currently paying to clear our sidewalks. This is very simple math and should not take more than a few minutes to do. Funny, they have time to clear their own snow with town equipment (Yes, that is theft). Video Link
It is deplorable that Neil Vincent continues to risk our children’s lives by ordering staff to block sidewalks with snow and force our children to walk in traffic. It takes a truly despicable human to not take a few seconds to protect/help a child. It makes one wonder how this man would react in a true crisis if a child’s life was in the balance and dependant on his quick thinking.
Children should not be put at risk of death because Vincent is too apathetic and bitter to take the simplest of steps to protect our children. If/when another child is injured/killed I have little doubt the Public’s righteous vigilante anger will balance karma.
