Alexander BANNON – Drug Trafficking, Careless Driving

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On November 5, 2016, just after 1:00 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on Highway 401 westbound, near Wellington Road, in the City of London, Ontario.

A blue Mazda car had struck two other vehicles. There were no injuries reported.

Officers determined that the 23-year-old male driver of the Mazda car was in possession of a controlled substance, and he was placed under arrest.

As a result of the police investigation, Alexander BANNON, from Sarnia, Ontario, has been charged with possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – over 3kg, and possession of a schedule I substance – other drugs, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). He was further charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The male was held in custody and is scheduled to answer the charges before the London, Ontario, courts.
