Downtown business employee spat on

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after an employee of a downtown business was spat upon Wednesday morning.

Approximately 7:30 a.m. the employee observed a male inside the business who had previously been banned. The employee approached the male and asked him to leave. As they were walking together towards the exit the male turned and spat, striking the employee on the arm and pants.

The involved male is known to the victim but has not yet been located.

$7,500 in tools stolen from work truck

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after approximately $7,500 worth of tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Tuesday evening police were called to a home on Woolwich Street near Ann Street. A male reported he had his work truck parked in the driveway overnight and went out in the morning to find the passenger door unlocked and all his tools missing.

Trailer stolen, located in Hamilton

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a trailer was stolen from the south end and later recovered in Hamilton.

The theft was reported Wednesday afternoon. Approximately 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, a male and female in a white pickup were observed hooking up the black enclosed 16-foot trailer and removing it from a property on Southgate Drive.

Just after 8 p.m. Wednesday police learned the trailer had been recovered undamaged behind a business in Hamilton. Arrangements have been made for the trailer to be returned to its owner.
