Michael OLSEN Was Arrested

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On April 22nd, 2024 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for service regarding a motor vehicle collision along Highway 61 near Princess street, within the City of Thunder Bay.

Through the investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers involved in the motor vehicle collision had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, Michael OLSEN, 36, of Kenora was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs;
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on July 12th, 2024.
