Chatham-Kent Police Daily Update

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 126 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested and three on an outstanding warrant.

Robbery in Wallaceburg- CK24018881

In the early morning of Sunday, April 28th, 2024, three individuals forcibly entered a residence with weapons. The suspects threatened the homeowner, while demanding money. Suspects eventually fled the area and police were contacted. Victim attended CKHA-SDH for treatment to minor injuries. This investigation is ongoing.

Break and Enter in Chatham- CK24018885

Sometime overnight on Monday, April 29th, 2024 , in the area of Bloomington Way in Chatham, unknown suspect(s) entered vacant house under construction and caused damage to property and stole various tools.

Chatham Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK24018985

In the evening of Sunday, April 28th, 2024, a 23-year-old Chatham male was located by police in the area of Sandys Street in Chatham and arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held pending a bail hearing to appear before a judge.

Break and Enter in Chatham- CK24019012

In the early morning of Monday, April 29, 2024, officers were checking the area of Borrowman Street in Chatham for a 911 call they had received. While in the area, they discovered a break & enter had occurred. Unknown suspect(s) possibly in two vehicles stole $140,000.00 in Primary Cable approximate weight of 5000kg. This investigation is ongoing.
