Wingham Police Shoot First, Threaten & Intimidate Public – Video Record All Interactions With Wingham Police

After watching the Wingham Cop Watch video it is clear that the Wingham Police have a “shoot first and don’t ask questions later” mentality. It was absolutely clear at the last council meeting that the officer did not assess the situation, as he kicked one person out solely for recording the police, one for having a dead camera, and one for having a powered down camera, all while the meeting was adjourned. NOTE: The officer was recording with his body camera. Is it right that the police can record you, but you can’t record them?

Apparently it is common for the Wingham police to have already decided which side to take before they show up to an incident. A clear violation of their oath. If they don’t like you, you are in the wrong, no matter what the facts are.

When the police want to intimidate you into silence they simple say “are you threatening me?”. They will say this in response to anything or nothing. This is their way of saying shut up or you are going to jail on a trumped up charged, and it will be my word against yours in court. The officer gets overtime to go to court, a nice bonus in his wallet that you the taxpayer is forced to pay for. On the other hand you will be out a day’s pay and other expenses if it goes to court. If the officer does commit a crime, he gets suspended with pay (paid vacation) and free lawyers. The system isn’t quite fair is it?

The Wingham police are expected to arrest members of the Public/Press gallery at the 22Aug2016 council meeting for possession/operation of a camera. Of course the Great Oppressor vincent could apologize for being a dictator and kicking everyone out at prior meetings and allow the Public to record, but that seems quite unlikely.
