(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On November 13th, 2016, at approximately 8:45pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. checks on County Road 64 near the Murray Canal.
During the checks officers spoke to a male and during the course of the interaction it was determined his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, Sec 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on December 1st, 2016, his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
